Full Time Police Officer

The Hull Police Department hires Full Time Police Officers off the Massachusetts State Civil Service List , which is given every two years.  In order to take this test, you need to be at least 21 years of age, have a valid drivers license and you need to be a United States citizen.  The results of this test are released to Police Departments who request this list for hire.  Please check with Department of Personnel Administration for the current testing schedule.

(Transfers from Other Police Departments)

This department takes transfers from other Police Departments.  As long as the new transfer meets the standards of the Massachusetts State Civil Service List.  The Chief of Police, and Town Government approve all appointments.

Seasonal Police Officers   -   Accepting Applications !!!

The Hull Police Department is accepting applications for seasonal police officers. Interested candidates can pick up an application at the Hull Police Station. Applicants must be 21 years of age at the time of employment and have completed the basic reserve training intermittent police officer course and attended the yearly in-service update if applicable. Applicants considered for the position of seasonal police officer will have to pass a medical physical and a physical ability test. You would also be required to attend in-house training and firearms qualifications. Criminal history checks will be conducted on all applicants. The season begins May 15th and ends September 13th.
